Thermafiber® RainBarrier®

Thermafiber® RainBarrier® 45 and HC-P mineral wool insulation are semi-rigid insulation boards designed to fit between cladding attachment elements such as masonry ties, girts, and clip & rail systems. These products form around most attachment elements without cutting or notching and designed to support cladding attachment with minimal penetrations. RainBarrier® 45 and HD mineral wool insulation can be used behind medium-weight cladding types — including combustible and open-joint assemblies.

Thermafiber® RainBarrier® HD insulation is a high-density board with a consistent 6.0 pcf density throughout the entire thickness of the product. The consistent density from top to bottom helps eliminate the need to orient the piece in a certain direction. Designed for exceptional performance in rain screen and cavity wall construction applications, RainBarrier® HD provides thermal insulation, fire-resistive characteristics, acoustical control, vapor permeance and the ability to drain water from a wall cavity system.

All RainBarrier® products are non-combustible and compatible with common wall ties and air barrier systems.
